Ana Mª Lajusticia was born in Bilbao in 1924. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Sciences from the University of Madrid and has undertaken studies on agriculture and animal nutrition, and published papers on these topics in specialised journals.
Since the beginning of the 1970s, she has worked in the field of dietetics, with a focus on biochemistry and molecular biology, and has taken part in a number of conferences on this subject.
Her extensive theoretical and practical knowledge led her to write her first work, entitled Balanced diet in modern life, which was an enormous success. This was followed by a further nine works, two of which have been translated into French, German, Dutch and Portuguese.
